Charlie is a military spouse whose husband is a Hurst police officer and a Chief Warrant Officer 2 in the U.S Army Reserve - Supervisory Criminal Investigative Command (CID) Special Agent where he has served for 22 years. Charlie is a passionate veteran advocate who understands the hardships of military transitions; her family has been through transitions from unemployment, deployments, and active duty to reserve. She has volunteered at Allies in Service for over 4 years, contributing 580 hours to job fairs, the furniture program, and directing the Christmas gift program. She also volunteers to feed the homeless on a regular basis. As further evidence of Charlie’s commitment to veterans, she served as the Treasurer of the Family Readiness Group 425th Military Police Detachment (CID), and received a Certificate of Appreciation from the 393th Military Police Battalion (CID). Charlie has also been the recipient of the Presidential Volunteer Service Awards for three consecutive years.

Charlie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies with a Sociology Minor from Columbia College, and a Master’s Degree in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University.
