Richard W. Douglas is Executive Vice President of Brokerage, Americas at Jones Lang LaSalle, a financial and professional services firm specializing in real estate. Douglas joined Jones Lang LaSalle in 2008, when his prior firm, The Staubach Company, merged their global real estate advisory firm with Jones Lang LaSalle. Douglas began his employment with Staubach in 1999.
Previously, he had served as President of the Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce for seven years. He also had served as President of the North Texas Commission; Chairman, President and Chief Operating Officer of Las Colinas Corporation; President and Chief Operating Officer of Southland Investment Properties; and Assistant to the Dallas City Manager.
He is a Board member of Atmos Energy Corporation, a prior Board member of Children’s Hospital, and The Senior Source of Metropolitan Dallas and has also served on numerous other civic and not-for-profit boards, including the Trinity Improvement Association executive committee, Dallas Zoological Society, Hart Global Leaders Forum and American Foundation for the Blind Southwest advisory council. Douglas also served as Chairman of the United Way Campaign in 2001, raising over $52,000,000 and was Chairman of the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas Board of Directors from 2002 to 2003. He currently volunteers as Allies in Service's Program Lead for the Warrior Mentorship Program which connects senior level business executives with transitioning veterans for a year of corporate mentorship.
Douglas graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and from the University of New Mexico with a Master’s Degree in public administration. He is married and has two children and two grandchildren. He resides in Dallas and in Clifton, Texas.
